Bow Mar, Colorado. Lakefront. One acre. Kathy Jones, ArchStyle Inc. Hamptons-inspired shingle, vintage Colorado lodge bones. Timber-clad ceiling beams in the great room. Tongue-and-groove pine at 14 feet.
Wainscoting, crown, base,detailed like a house that has always been here. It hasn't. The original was a 1960s teardown.
Beams
Timber-clad steel ceiling beams span the great room, framing westward views to the lake and the front range. The architect wanted the scale of a vintage Colorado lodge with the openness of a coastal getaway. The beams carry both.
Millwork
Tongue-and-groove pine ceiling in the 14-foot entry foyer. Wainscoting through living spaces and bedrooms. 10-inch baseboards and three-piece crown mouldings from room to room.
