Wainscoting, crown and base, detailed like a house that has always been here. It has not. The original was a 1960s teardown on one acre of lakefront.
Timber clad steel ceiling beams span the great room, framing westward views to the lake and the front range. The architect wanted the scale of a vintage Colorado lodge with the openness of a coastal getaway. The beams carry both.
A tongue and groove pine ceiling runs through the fourteen foot entry foyer, and the millwork carries the same logic to every room it reaches.
